XBRL Report Editor

Reporting Standard has created the most easy to use XBRL Report Editor in the market. The new XBRL Report Editor tool is based on the same graphical user interface used in Reporting Standard XBRL Report Viewer.

The Report Builder works the same way a spreadsheet works. When you click on a cell, the tool provides all required information automatically, that is, the company name, the period information, dimensions, unit, ... all that information can be edited in the tool if required.

The Report Builder will allow you to access to all the details regarding the concepts used in the report, for example:

  • All existing labels in the labels linkbase. You can change the order of the preferred languages
  • All presentation structures. Parent and children elements.
  • All calculation structures.
  • The dimensional space of a concept definition (That is the combinations of dimensions and dimension members are allowed concept by concept)
  • All concept references

The XBRL Editor share the same characteristics from the Instance Viewer:

Simultaneous multiple languages: The user can choose the preferences about languages. Text labels are selected according to the indicated preferences. Differently to other XBRL software vendors, the user can choose all the languages he/she knows and the order in which a language is preferred over the next language. If a label exist in a highest priority language that label is selected. Otherwise, the next language in the priority list is used to search for a label.

Simultaneous multiple reports: If the XBRL report contains data for more than one form, the user can decide about the form to input data to.


Form view

Change between decimals and precision with a simple click.

  • XBRL Precision means precision.
  • XBRL Decimals means decimals.
  • Drag and drop the triangle to the right or to the left in order to indicate the amount of significant digits.
  • Chick on the triangle to change between decimals and precision

Change the units by doing right click on the unit.

See with these icons what is the defined period type of the taxonomy concept.

Right click on the elements in the presentation tree in order to create new tuple instances or to create elements in the substitution group of parent abstract elements.


Pop-up menu to create new fact items

The pop-up messages shows you additional information about the elements when you put the mouse on the element and wait for a short period of time.


XBRL Shows Euros per share

Access to this window in order to edit the contextual information of every element in the report. Just double click on the colored rectangle that is positioned on top of the icon representing the period type.

Edit all concept dimensions and see the dimensional space of the concept definition and a fact item.
